We are almost to the halfway point of January which makes this title a bit more absurd. I mean who needs to reevaluate their goals already, other than the traditional New Year resolution tactics that are quit after the first week in. This, however, isn’t one of those.
I had plans to release three novels this year. Two of which the first drafts are complete and one of which will be headed into edits in February. That being said I’ll admit the other two would be sadly failing if I were to follow through on such a thing now.
While my psychological thriller will be coming out in March as planned I will be not following through with the other two. Not because I wouldn’t love to have them out, but because after careful consideration they are not ready.
The one that has a first draft will be torn down to a point. The world in which it takes place is severely underdeveloped, the systems in place are lacking, and let’s face it. If I want a breakout fantasy novel sending one out that has been severely half-assed is going to do nothing but hurt me in the long run. So, the rest of this year will see tons of work. While it won’t be rapid releases like I thought, there will be plenty of work to complete.
I can’t wait to see where this next leg of the journey will take me.
Always L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
