Hello, Readers.

I’m a little late getting this post out. In fact, I almost forgot to post today. It’s been one of those chaotic days. I’ve been trying to contact various cover artists to get price quotes and to look at their things. Well, I had a cover artist I used to go to and I contacted her first. Mind you, I tried to get a cover from her before Christmas. She quoted me a day she’d be working on it and nothing. I didn’t even hear a word from her. I gave her a few days regardless and then I messaged her to see how the work was going after that.

Well, I had a cover artist I used to go to and I contacted her first. Mind you, I tried to get a cover from her before Christmas. She quoted me a day she’d be working on it and nothing. I didn’t even hear a word from her. I gave her a few days regardless and then I messaged her to see how the work was going on my cover. She replies back with the fact she hadn’t been working on it due to personal issues.

I definitely understand the personal issues thing so she set up a second date to do the cover. Again, I hear nothing. When I message her only then does she reply with another reason why she didn’t get to the cover. It was at this point I asked for the refund of my money and told her that after the new year we’d try to get a cover worked out again. That day she posted a new Facebook banner that said she would be out for the holiday until January 12th.

Two days ago I contacted her. On her website was a large tag for a sale on ALL covers. There was no closing date, nothing. So I contacted her to try to arrange the cover deal once again. I was going to order bookmarks and teasers from her as well. I was informed that the deal was off and it was mainly to clear her premade stock out. That the sale had ended on January 5th.

My questions are how does a sale run during your so called holiday? And why wouldn’t you keep your business stuff up to date or honor your website?

After much frustration, I got the hint that she did not wish to have my business. So here is my words of warning to all of you. Remember that when you’re running a business that communication is key to everything.

Now, back to work for me. Remember L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
