Cover reveals, media kits, and other authorly things

Hello, Readers!

Wow, I never realized the true amount of work that goes into launching a novel into the world. Sure, I could simply release it. Let it quietly slip into the throngs of the book world with no real announcement. In fact, I’d be lying if I said that I’d never done such a thing.

I think in total I’ve done varying degrees of announcements from a small post on Facebook to say hey I released a novel to even spamming the release everywhere. I DO NOT recommend the latter. You want to anger a bunch of people then follow the last one.

Still, with this release, I want to do it justice. However, sometimes my social anxiety makes this difficult. Connecting with other authors and bloggers can be quite…overwhelming for me. I’m working on it, though.

All this time I’m working on getting a cover reveal idea going. I probably won’t do that until a little later this month so that one, I can really put effort into it and make it enjoyable for all of us and two, it is close enough to the actual release to help generate the buzz for the novel. I simply can’t wait to share it all with you so this is where it is hard for me. I’ve wanted to shout it from the rooftops and post it everywhere, however, I thought a fun countdown would help us get the party started.

I will be announcing all of that soon so keep your eyes posted here for news.

And remember, L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing. Now time to get back to work on my next novel.
