Hello, Readers!

I know I keep missing days in here where there are no blog posts. I’m trying to be more accountable, but the fact is I don’t have something to say every day. My writing is coming along slowly, but it is coming along.

It hasn’t helped that I’m doing some of my writing at night when I should be sleeping. Often times when I come off being sick my sleep schedule ends up completely messed up and it is hard to get it back on track. This time is no different for me. I’m exhausted by the time bedtime rolls around, but I only sleep for maybe an hour or two and then I’m back up and I can’t seem to fall back to sleep until after everyone is gone for the day. This makes it hard to get my usual amount of work done during the day as once everyone is home from school and work than I want to spend time with them.

Also, plans have been underway for my youngest daughter’s birthday. She won’t be in town for her actual birthday so we are going to celebrate it a few weeks early. We’ve given her the option to do about anything she wants to within reason, which she wasn’t too happy about as that stipulation tossed her theme park want right out the window. Honestly, my hubby and I just aren’t huge into those type of rides and especially the hefty price tag that comes along with it.

So, once she got over that she still couldn’t decide what she wanted to do for her birthday. We offered her the drive in, going to a fancy movie theater with lazy boy seats, aquariums, zoo or an array of museums that we thought she’d get a kick out of. Nothing seemed to tickle her fancy at all. What did she settle on?

Dinner out, purchase of snacks and a quiet evening at home watching movies as a family. Mind you she’s going to be fifteen years old and she would rather stay home for her birthday than go out. Haha.

Sometimes, she’s so much like me it’s scary. So, our big plans for this weekend is to do just that. I also made her an ice cream cake filled with three layers of her different favorite ice creams. That should be interestingly tasty. You can’t go wrong with ice cream for sure.

As for Easter there is a family party I just found out about last night so we may turn up there. It sure may turn out to be a busy weekend on our front. Do any of you have plans for Easter celebrations or plans for this weekend?

Until then it’s time to settle into work. Remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth living.
