My sleep cycle is completely shot. This leaves me sleeping most of the morning, but somehow it is working for me so far. While it drives the rest of my family nuts I’m getting more work done during the hours while the world sleeps than I have in a long time.
My body crashes for a few hours, but promptly around midnight, it awakes ready to set to work. I get out of bed and while everything is so quiet I head for the office. There are no gentle clicks of anyone on computers around me. The sounds of the television running in the other room or the neighbors banging about below me. No, the world sleeps and I find my creativity free.
I drag out sheets of computer paper and start toying with story questions, protagonist existence, and tags, creating the antagonist. Simple enough work in a lot of aspects as I lay it all down so I can refer to it later.
I’ll be mainly doing some hybrid between plotting it out and discovering it as I go. I can’t wait to see how this novel turns out. It’ll be great fun and a lot of work.
As for Malevolent Mind the marketing bit I was saving up, but unfortunately, our alternator went on our car so the marketing will take just a bit more to get going.
Sometimes life throws you curve balls and you must adapt to them. I haven’t given up on the marketing of Malevolent Mind, but it has been prolonged for the time being.
Until then, I have been started the work on a new novel as I said before. I’m extremely excited to get back to work on a new novel. Even if it means that I turn into a nighttime person.
Back to work for me. Remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
