Novel Beginnings

Hello, Readers!

I missed doing a blog post yesterday. I tried a few times, but no subject matter was coming to me. Yesterday wasn’t a great day for me. One of best friends to which I consider a sister got some pretty bad personal news and I find that it hit me pretty hard yesterday.

If that wasn’t enough my daughter is really having a rough go of this pregnancy. She’s been in and out of the hospital in labor and her hip joint seems to have come out of place. It’s left her in extreme pain and unable to walk up and down stairs very well. She’s still a few months out from her actual due date. The doctor is contemplating an early arrival for my grandson, but we’re still talking late May if she makes it that far.

Due to all of this, I haven’t been as focused as I should be on my writing. So, now I’m sitting here in front of my document for the next novel and I realize part of my reason for it is I’m not engaged with the book. I don’t like the beginning at all. Yesterday I think I figured out how to fix that, but it means starting from the beginning. Considering I’m only four thousand in, that isn’t as bad as it could be.

On that note, today will be focused on beginning the story once more and really getting into it. I apologize if this short blog is all over the place. The hubby man has interrupted me twice while writing this short piece just to show me pictures. Oh, how fun it is when he works from home. Reminds why I do most of my writing at night now.

Until next time. Remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.

    1. It’s on and off and the reason I’ve been missing again most of this week. She’s supposed to come visit me this week so I can help her out with the baby. We shall see since this week is almost over.
