Busy Days and Procrastination

Hello, Readers!

Wow, it’s the end of the school year and things are wrapping up. Yesterday I got to watch my son graduate high school. I couldn’t be more proud of him. Along with that, my youngest received awards from her junior high. As this is the last year she will be attending there it is hard.

I wasn’t able to attend both of them as they were at the same time, so I went to my son’s graduation. That was hard to do as I’m very proud of both of my children and wanted so badly to be in both places. However, my son was only going to graduate high school once, so he won out. As for my daughter, she told me she has received those awards every year of junior high so don’t worry about it.

We did get things done all the same. My oldest daughter is still very much pregnant, regardless of her wanting to be done now. She’s ready to hold her son, I’m sure. Not to mention she’s 8 months along and it’s simply uncomfortable at that point. However, the time is coming rapidly. The doctor doesn’t think she’ll deliver this week, which I agree with him, but he makes no guarantees after that as she is progressing rapidly. So, anytime soon we could have two small ones under the age of five in this house, which is exciting.

As for my writing….I am the queen of procrastination. Man, I have lost so much time doing nothing important, watching youtube videos. After taking so much time off it is so hard to get back into the swing of things. I keep starting the novel and then deciding I hate that beginning and tossing it out. Again, a method of procrastination. I need to force myself to sit down and get my work done.  I’m terrible about that stuff. My goal of one more novel out this year has been complicated by my procrastination. So time to set me some hard fast goals and get it done. It isn’t due to lack of time, but time management. I have time to write. At least a few hours every day I could spend writing. Now to buckle down and get it finished.
