Hello, Readers!

Happy Labor Day. Again, I didn’t get things posted that I wanted to. This is always how it works for me until I get in the habit of writing the posts extremely early in the morning. I’ve started to babysit for my oldest while she is at work, which keeps me on my toes with two kids under the age of two.

Still, that is no excuse for not getting on here to write posts. I have to admit that I’ve been slacking in the social department. Though, I have been working on the actual writing department. It is hard to find time beyond the little I have to actually write to spend socializing, however, that being said it is important for me to upkeep my social sites.

That is my goal, to get better at up keeping them. I will get back there once more. I did severely sprain my foot last week which has kept me on limited movement and a brace. When it comes to watching kids with all of this it was definitely a painful challenge for me. As of right now, I can walk on it, though it still hurts and keeps my foot swollen from the strain. It’s not fun at all.

My writing is coming along really well through it all, though. I’m reading two different books at the same time. One is teaching me how to ‘fire up my writing brain’ and the other is about writing a screenplay manuscript. I’ve had a lot of fun with the last one. I’m not sure if I will ever get into the realm of writing and selling movie scripts or not, but I have to admit the way that it teaches you to do it all will provide valuable help with a novel manuscript as well. I’ve already learned so much from it and am continuing to learn, which is a lot of fun.

I am still working on a novel, but I find with the limited time that I can sit down to write that my brain is more than a little scattered the few times I have to myself. That is something I really need to work on. I’m sure those of you that balance a family life, a full-time job and a writing career are either trying to find a way to do so yourself or have figured out ways to switch your brain between everything. If you have any insight into different methods that may help I’d appreciate you sharing it down in the comments.

Now, time to get back to my work. Remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
