Just One? #MFRW Week 5

Hello, Readers!

That is right, we’re back for another Marketing for Romance Writers Blog Challenge. This weeks blog challenge is difficult for me. They want to know, ‘A book that has influenced my life’. I thought about ones that pushed me to be a writer. Stephen King’s It, Harry Potter series, books by Mercedes Lackey, Ann Rice, Laurell K. Hamilton novels. There are so many novels that have made some sort of impact on my life, but the one that has impacted me as a person would have to be The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

I was first introduced to this book by a very dear friend Vicki Locey. There were quite a few of us in Chatty Chicks that started to read this novel together once she told us about it. I learned so much about myself and how I react to others. Practicing a more Toltec lifestyle has brought me more peace than I have experienced since growing up. While there are days that I still struggle to follow The Four Agreements, it hasn’t lessened the impact on my life, because I always come back to it. I’ve also started to read other novels by him and his son, though none have carried quite the impact that one has had on me.

It’s been nice to think of this book once more and reminds me that I need to refresh my reading of it. That might be something that I can do with the Hubby Man like we did the first time through. Thank you, MFRW Blog Challenge for reminding what a great influence this novel has been in my life.

See you next week, Readers! Have a great weekend.

And remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
