Applying My Focus

Hello, Readers!

I have spent today following my strategy and applying my focus. While I need to work on setting my schedule and sticking to it. For the first time, in a long time, I’ve managed to sit down and really put in some writing time.

My novel is back to making forward progression, which makes me feel amazing. I’m now on chapter seven, which doesn’t seem like a lot, but it is a great start. Especially if you consider I’d been stuck on chapter five for almost a month. It wasn’t that I didn’t know where I was going, it was that I never sat my butt down and wrote it out. There were always excuses for why I wasn’t doing it.

Now that I am doing it I have to admit to feeling pumped. While it is taking me a lot longer to get in the groove then I originally anticipated I think the more I work at it, the less time it will take. At least, that is the hope. Especially as I progress through the novel and get to some of the meatier pieces.

While this isn’t a long blog post, I thought I’d drop in and tell you how progress went today. Here is hoping tomorrow sees just as much if not more progress. Until next time, remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
