December Goals

Hello, Readers!

I know I missed a few of the days last week for blog posts. It was a massively busy time for us. Between finishing up the shopping for the party on Saturday, and taking my daughter to do her shopping for her kids, groceries and the like…there just simply wasn’t enough hours in the day no matter how I worked it.

It was also a time of no writing for me as well. So, in the end I missed my November writing goal of finishing off Poisonous Revenge by the end of the month. As much as I’d like to say that it was simply because I’d become so busy, I know the truth of the situation is I wasn’t and haven’t been putting in as much effort as I was during NaNo.

This weekend saw the same amount of productivity on my part. Saturday was spent doing running and the family Christmas party. Hands down one of the best that we have ever had. The work that my sister and niece put into the party was absolutely amazing. It was so so so much fun and a good time was had by all.

The only hangups that occurred wasn’t due to anything they’d done, but rather us as guests not paying enough attention to the instructions and rules. Which happened a few times at the party and caused glitches later on.

All in all, I would say it was an extremely successful Christmas party. I was super excited to have received a Harry Potter Lego set as well as a Fantastic Beasts one. I put them together as soon as we came home from the party and they are now in our curio cabinet. It was a lot of fun.

There is still a great deal of shopping to be done this month and as I look at the schedule on my calendar…there is also a lot of things that will require my attention this month, which means not as much time to write, so I will need to make the most of the time I have. That has always been a difficult point for me, time management. Somehow, I will make it all happen. I always do.

My goals for this month remain the same. I want to finish Poisonous Revenge and get it ready for edits, which is the stage it should be in around Christmas, but it appears that will be in January now. As it hopefully won’t take me all month to get the twenty thousand that I need to finish off this novel, I will be also working on the planning of Blood Magic (working title). Or at least, that is the title for now. It may change as the story develops in my head and on paper.

Not to mention I think I may try a new way of plotting and see how I like that. Maybe not be so thorough with it and let things flow more naturally. That is the goal anyway. Now it is down to the right execution.

Remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
