Camping and Editing

Hello, Readers!

Happy April first or April Fools Day if you are a lover of such. Personally, I don’t care about the holiday. There are too many cruel jokes at others expense. Most are simply not funny.

As some of you may know today begins Camp NaNoWriMo for me. This time around instead of logging a word count I have chosen to log hours worked. This will help as I will be balancing the editing of book two as well as the writing of book three.

Speaking of which, the first round of edits for Poisonous Revenge came in the email yesterday. I can’t tell you how beyond thrilled I am by my editor’s commentary.

She informed me that not only did I make her cry with a heart-wrenching scene, but I also wrote my strongest scene ever in this novel. I’m beyond excited that it all came across so well. It truly gave me a great sense of pride at how far my writing has come over the years.

It also couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m pumped up now to finish the work on book three in hopes of releasing it at the end of the summer.

This series has not only proven to myself that I can write fantasy, but it has taken me so far out of my comfort zone that I feel I’ve grown as not only a writer but a person as well. It has been such an amazing journey so far and on I hope to continue for the rest of my days.

I have the next three days off from babysitting, while my schedule isn’t completely clear it is enough that I can sit down and dedicate a good portion of this time off from one job to dig into my next novel.

Coffee is almost done here. So time to get a fresh cup of java and dig into work.

Until next time, remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
