Working Within Your Means

Hello, Readers!

The one thing that I’ve had to learn with all of the changes in my schedule is how to be more flexible with my writing. I’ll admit, this isn’t something I’m particularly good at. I can’t stand not being able to work when I want to work. Especially as my sleep schedule is still a freaking joke.

When I should be sleeping, my body takes a nap and when I should be writing my body is wanting to sleep. By the time I’m well rested and ready to work…I’m babysitting.

That has been a real thorn in my side, but I’ve had to learn that I need to be doing my work at night after my so-called nap so that I’m still getting my work done. It is the flexibility that I need to keep reminding myself to have.

I’ve pondered why my body has changed to such an odd time to be so awake. Other than the fact that it usually is the quietest time in the house, I don’t know. However, even the boys have gotten to the point where they are up most of the night as well. It’s a strange thing.

I would love to fix my schedule, but the sleep aids just aren’t helping, so I don’t know what else to do but adapt my work schedule to it. Today, however, I slacked off.

I’m sure that is evident by the fact the blog post is just barely going live. Not to mention, I haven’t sat down to do any of my writing at all yet. I’m just now working on that as well.

The positive of all this is that I’m learning to be more flexible. I have a goal and I know the work I need to complete in a day to reach said goal. Beyond that, I work when I can now. While most days it doesn’t go perfectly, I am striving toward being okay with it and still getting my work done.

Are you flexible with your schedule? Or do you have a certain time you need to be sat down to work?

Until next time, remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
