Inspiration and Mood

Hello, Readers!

I’m not one that will wait for inspiration to write. If I did that, I’d never do anything. I do, however, have things that help me get into the mood to write.

Like I’m a huge fantasy nut, both Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are some of my favorites. I even love Avatar. Their soundtracks are amazing to me when it comes to their movies. Just hearing the opening theme for Harry Potter makes me want to write amazing fantasies and can convince me to write on a day that maybe I was procrastinating more.

The books are some of my favorites as well. I’m not one to simply watch the movies and ignore the books. I used to be one that wouldn’t watch the movie until I’ve read the book, however, I have to admit over the last eight or so years I haven’t read near enough books.

In fact, I don’t read much at all. That is something that I’m hoping to fix. I’m getting back to the things that make me who I am.

Do you have things that help you get in the mood or set you on the path to accomplishing things?

I know people that when they write battles scenes have to listen to heavy metal or even when the hubby man wants to paint he will watch a lot of Youtube videos to learn different techniques for acrylic pour paintings and then he will try them. It helps him get in the mood to do his things.

I’ve written this post while listening to the Harry Potter movie soundtrack from the Philosopher’s Stone and now I’m ready to dig into my writing.

Until next time, remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing
