Feeling So Behind

Hello, Readers!

The holiday season is quickly coming upon us. I still have a few cookies to make that are favorites of the family. One being German Chocolate Cookies and another being more shortbread cookies. My family devours both of these cookies when they are available. However, I only make them around Christmas time because I simply don’t think of it the rest of the year.

I still have more Christmas shopping to finish before we are ready, but I cannot do that until later this week as I babysit during the time the hubby man is off work. So, I have to wait until I’m off one of those days. Every year is like this, and somehow I always get it all done.

This year, though, I am relying on my bullet journal more than ever. I simply can’t keep track of everything on my own any longer. I call it getting older and trying to keep track of too much at once. If I don’t use my bullet journal I find that I forget to do things that I need to get done for that day. Shame on me.

I also need to sit down and wrap all of the gifts that I have purchased already. Not to mention, a big family party this Saturday. I do believe I finally have those packages wrapped and put in a safe place so we don’t forget them, but I have to get the food I’m taking and make that. I’m going to make gluten free stuffed jalapeno poppers for the party. If you would like to check it out, you can find the recipe here.

As for my writing, time seems to have not been working out quite as I would like as I babysit most days until almost 2 am. By the time I rise for the day it is almost ten, and I’m back to babysitting only a few hours after that. So, lately it has felt like all I do is sleep and babysit.

I’m very much looking forward to the time that she is scheduling off so that I have a week to finally breathe after the rush of the holidays. I’m planning to sit down nearly every day and get lost in stories I write and my own reading. Hopefully, it’ll also give us time to get the boys on a better sleeping schedule as well. That will help get our schedules all settled as well so we can work together better.

Not to mention, I could really use the time to reconnect with the hubby man. It’s been so busy it feels like we haven’t had time to even talk, cuddle, or watch shows. So, I’m pretty excited for for that. He has a few weeks off toward the end of the month and I’m hoping to take advantage of that and spend some quality time with him.

Anyway, now that I’ve went on about everything else. If you are interested in some fun and finding new authors to read, I am appearing on my friend Cat’s blog here. There is a great giveaway happening and tons of authors in a lot of different genres to enjoy. Come and join in the party.

Until next time, remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth it.
