Working Through The Obstacles

Hello, Readers!

I have written most days this week. While none of the word counts are quite where I want them to be, I cannot help but be proud that I have stuck with writing. Even a few hundred a day is better than none.

However, that being said, today has been a day filled with distractions and a late start to my writing. When I babysit until 1 am in the morning and the boys fight me to go to bed on time then I don’t get minimal sleep and end up napping in the morning. That sets me back by a couple of hours from when I’d like to start writing.

It certainly makes me miss having all that energy at 3 am to get my cleaning done and settle into work at a normal time.

Anyway, while my blog and journal entry have been late today, I did jump ahead and I’ve been writing. Even when my daughter fell asleep on the couch and I had her oldest, I still managed to get a lot of writing done. I’ve really been on the ball today with working through the obstacles.

Tomorrow is another busy day in this house. Not only do we still need to pack for this trip, but my youngest has her therapy in the morning and school after that. Plus, we have to take the Ferocious Moose into the vet for shots before we leave for Cedar City Friday morning.

We will be there by mid afternoon so I hope to get writing in after we get settled into the hotel. It would be nice to have the ability to sit and write without having a thousand other things going on. I say that now, but we are taking the dogs with us so we shall see how much I accomplish or rather the four of us just pass out from finally getting a chance to relax.

Truckie the nurse and anxiety dog has been on double duty. My oldest daughter is still recovering from bronchitis and my anxiety has been unforgiving this week. It seems I never have enough time to get everything done I want and need to throughout the days. The Ferocious Moose is busy growing at a rapid rate and now stands tall enough that his belly and Truckie’s back are near even. I wished I had a picture to attach but they seem to know when I’m going to take a picture and stay as far away from each other as possible. He is finally at a healthy weight, so I feel much better about his growth and eating.

As much as I’d love to take my cat with me, he will remain behind and have the full run of the house. That is his vacation from me. A chance to wander about without having to worry about the dogs. He will be spoiled with loves and treats, of that I have no doubt as my oldest daughter will be the one he is in care of.

There is still so much that needs my attention before I leave and yet I find myself drawn back to the book time and time again. That has made it extremely easy to keep working through the obstacles throughout the day I’ve been faced with.

Now, time to bathe these boys for bed before I help the hubby man clip the Ferocious Moose’s nails before the trip. Tomorrow I will pack my overnight bag. It won’t take long. All the while I will squeeze in writing I am sure.

Until next time, Lovelies, remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
