Recently, my family and I talked about how we are all home bound and yet, we hardly ever spend time together. We’ve all sort of fallen into our own little worlds around the house. So, to take some time to spend together, we’ve implemented one night a week where we do something together.
This last week we had an art night. We set up the hubby man’s laptop on the dining room table and watched shows while we did our art. I worked on watercolors, the hubby man did diamond dots, and our youngest daughter worked on coloring sheets. Our oldest daughter has been buried in mask orders, so she hasn’t had much time to spend with the rest of us.
I’m so happy for her that her business has taken off.
Anyway, some nights we will do art and others we will play games. It just so happened that our daughter needs to do the coloring pages for one of her classes in school, so we decided on art. It was so much fun to sit down and spend quality time together.
For us being all in the same three bedroom apartment, we’ve definitely found a way to give each other space. Sometimes, too much space. Mostly, I keep to the back office. The hubby man stays at his desk, and our oldest is busy sewing at her desk, while our youngest spends a lot of time in her room having video chats with friends and making TikTok videos. The grandbabies have been running around and being crazy.
The one thing I’ve learned by being around everyone so much, is just how hard we all work at our perspective jobs….okay, how hard they work. I’m still trying to scrape myself up and get to work.
However, at least I’m still trying. I refuse to quit. So, time to get to work for me. Until next time, remember to L.O.L. (Live it, Own it, Love it) or it isn’t worth doing.
